About Gary Cheers

Gary Cheers has spent 30 years helping businesses grow through digital strategy. Today, he works exclusively on AI adoption for SMEs in North Wales.

Gary's career spans the full arc of digital - from the early days of web development through e-commerce, content marketing, SEO and social media. He has worked with over 100 clients, from sole traders to multi-million pound enterprises, delivering more than 250 projects across every sector.

In 2025, Gary launched wingenious.ai - an AI and automation consultancy. Wingenious works with SMEs in North Wales, Chester and across the UK, helping them figure out where AI fits and get it running.

So far in 2026, working as an AI augmented human, Gary has launched four new ventures:

• digitalsocialclub.co.uk - a North Wales networking event series bringing together digital professionals for talks, pitches and conversation
• aibreakfastclub.co.uk - a three-session AI training programme for business leaders at Theatr Clwyd, Mold
• freeaudit.ai - a free AI readiness audit tool for businesses
• northwales.ai - the regional hub for AI adoption in North Wales

All whilst giving his spare time to public speaking in colleges and schools, and providing free AI training to local charities.

Gary believes his heavy use of AI gives him an unfair advantage every day. He estimates his creativity and productivity is five to ten times what it would be without AI. His goal now is to help others apply his knowledge and approaches to their own unique scenarios and skills - so they can give themselves the same unfair advantage.

Gary is also a single dad to Phoebe, 7. He lives in Wrexham and spends most of his time helping North Wales businesses figure out where AI fits and get it working.
